Business Development

The Company: theSkimm is a lifestyle company rooted in a news startup.
theSkimm seeks to cut through the information noise and has transformed the
morning routines of female millennials to become one of the fastest-growing
newsletters on the market with unprecedented engagement. We have a daily
email newsletter that has had explosive growth. Having recently closed our
seed round, we’re making our first strategic hires.

The Role: theSkimm is looking to hire an “all-around athlete” to focus on
the subscriber growth, revenue, and development of our company. The
Business Development lead will work closely with the founders to identify
growth and revenue opportunities with relevant partners (both big and
small) and execute upon them. The role will include some ad sales and
creating sponsorship materials along with models and rates.

The lead will work directly with a Growth Strategist. This is the first BD
hire for our company and the role brings with it opportunity for broad


  • PeoplePerHour is hiring a Business Development Associate:

PeoplePerHour (PPH) has been a leader and an innovator in the fast-growing freelance economy since 2008. We are venture backed, having raised over $10m and are now profitable and growing internationally.  PPH is in the midst of launching a new, disruptive product aimed at the US market, based out of our New York office, called DeskDonkie.

We are looking for a Business Development Associate who is hungry to get into a startup environment, work closely with the founder and learn how to take a product to market from the ground up.
