Muck Rack is looking for someone to found our marketing department. Muck Rack is a software platform used by hundreds of companies to run their PR (pitching journalists, monitoring the news, tracking the impact of PR) including MasterCard, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Edelman and BuzzFeed. It’s also used by thousands of journalists to manage their portfolios and track the impact of their work.
Muck Rack has become a fast-growing and profitable SaaS company despite never having a dedicated marketing professional or team. Who knows how much faster we could be growing with a dedicated marketing effort? We’ll find out soon. We’re excited to bring on our first full time marketing pro.
We’re looking for a driven marketer who’ll take ownership for all marketing activities and metrics. It will be your job to try out different marketing channels and determine which ones drive the best opportunities to our sales team. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with sales, product and customer success. Initially you’ll be a team of one, but there’ll be an opportunity to grow and lead a marketing staff soon down the road.
